Capital Requirements - Project Lifecycle Cash Flow

Cash flow requirements are unique to each project, general timing follows:

  1. Design specs | engineering requirements
    • Up to 20% of the budget depending on the jurisdiction
  2. Apply for applicable permits
    • Normally 5% of the budget depending on the jurisdiction
  3. Bank Grading and Stream Construction
    • Approximately 50% of the project budget
    • Based on equipment time and materials
    • Deposit for the equipment is required up front, time is billed monthly
    • Operator time is billed weekly and all materials are due on receipt
  4. Landscaping and re-vegetation (based on equipment time and materials)
    • Approximately 10% of the total budget
    • This is most like subcontracted out and billed per their contract
  5. Construction Review and Punch List
    • At this point most of the heavy capital requirements have passed
    • The majority of the improvement budget has been exhausted, in theory no more than 15% remains
  6. Monitoring and maintenance for the remainder of the open permit timeframe
    • Up to 5-10% of the budget depending on the desired results
  7. Submit As Built Drawings to the Army Corp of Engineers
    • Up to 1-2% of the budget depending on the amount of changes to the original drawings
